There are many people who think that God is mad at them and that their mistakes and failures are keeping Him from loving them. However, God has delivered a message to the world that says the exact opposite. The Bible calls it “the message of reconciliation” in 2 Corinthians 5:19. It is a message revealing God’s love for us even while we were sinners. In our lowest and darkest condition, God chose to love us instead of abandoning us. The Bible teaches that all of us were born with a sinful condition and that none of our good works could save us. The harsh reality is that we were supposed to pay the penalty for our sins. Instead, God sent Jesus, who was totally innocent, to pay the penalty for us. After three days He arose from the dead in victory over death and is alive today. He did this to free us from our dark past and to give us a new life with a bright future. The Bible shows us that when we choose to believe in this message of God’s love for us, we accept as a personal gift complete forgiveness and total acceptance with God.

With one decision a man or a woman can exchange their sin, guilt, condemnation and shame for total forgiveness, righteousness, joy, and peace. The choice is ours. We can continue to live the life we have known, or we can choose to receive the gift of new life that God has offered us. This life changing decision is made when a person chooses to call Jesus their Lord and personal Savior while believing in their heart that He died on the cross for their sins and that God raised Him from the dead. Jesus said that at the moment a person believes in Him, they pass from death unto life. Salvation is a free gift that is offered by a loving God, paid for by Jesus Christ, and received by a person’s act of faith.

To make “The Decision”, go ahead and pray this prayer out loud.

God, I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son and that He took my place and died for my sins. I believe that on the third day He was raised from the dead so that I could have eternal life and be at peace with You. I decide today to make Jesus the Lord and Savior of my life. I repent and turn from the past. I go forward now as your child, with you as my Father, and with Heaven as my home. I am now born again. I am a new creation in Christ. I will never be the same again and I will follow you from this day forward. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Your Message

Once a person believes “The Message” and makes “The Decision”, now it’s time to live “The Life”. Jesus didn’t come to the earth to start another religion. He came instead to give us an entirely new life! In 2 Corinthians 5:17 the Bible says that the person who believes in Christ becomes a completely new creation, a new person altogether, and that old things pass away and all things become new. In Romans 6:4 we also see that those of us who believe in Jesus are to walk in the “newness of life”. As far as God is concerned, the old person you were is gone! It is time now to discover who you have become as a result of your faith in Christ. What is the best way to get started? Begin reading your Bible, especially in the New Testament, and get into a good Bible believing church so you can learn about all that God has done for you in Christ. That is why we are here… to help strengthen you in your walk with God. If you made “The Decision” for the first time, please contact us. We have some free materials we would like to send you. Congratulations on making the greatest decision of your life!
