Pastors Jordan and Melissa Gash
Oswego Family Church is pastored by its founders, Revs. Jordan and Melissa Gash. As Pastors, Jordan and Melissa are passionate about sharing with others the love of Christ that has revolutionized their own lives. They are committed to helping people discover from God’s Word their true potential in life as a Christian.
Jordan and Melissa are residents of Oswego, Illinois where they live with their three children. They are originally from Canton, Ohio where they met while in high school. Although each of them believed in Jesus at an early age, it was not until their time in College that they made serious decisions to follow Christ and to seek God’s plan for their lives. Jordan actually spent 4 years in college studying as a biology major with the intention of pursuing a career in the medical field. His pursuits changed however as he began to see the calling of God upon his life to preach and teach the Word of God. Melissa also recognized the call of God upon her life for ministry and they set out to pursue the plan of God for their lives together. They were married after finishing school and then decided to move to Tulsa, Oklahoma in order to prepare themselves for the ministry.
During that time they attended Rhema Bible Training Center and studied with an emphasis in pastoral ministry. They were also actively involved at the Prayer and Healing Center where they volunteered and ministered in various capacities. They were both greatly impacted during that season of their lives as they witnessed and experienced firsthand the healing power of God. After their graduation from Rhema, they were ordained and separated into the ministry by their pastors, Michael and Barbara Cameneti of Faith Family Church in Canton, Ohio. Pastor Jordan is also an officially licensed minister and a current member of the Rhema Ministerial Association International.
In addition to working with her husband at the church, Melissa has also worked as a clinical dietitian for nearly 10 years. She is currently the Clinical Dietitian Manager at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois.

Our Commitment to You… as Pastors
Melissa and I want to share with everyone who becomes a part of Oswego Family Church what we are committed to as Pastors. Listed below are 2 guiding principles that we have taken very seriously over the years. They are a major part of who we are and of who we will continue to be as ministers of the Gospel.
.
We Will Preach the Word
2 Timothy 4:1-3
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;”
We are committed to preaching and teaching the Word of God uncompromisingly and not our own ideas or opinions. The opinions and traditions of men are not what set people free. In fact, Jesus said that the traditions of men make God’s Word of no effect. Yet on the other hand, He taught us that the truth revealed by the Word of God contains power to set men forever free! It is for this reason that we base every teaching upon the scriptures and not on the views and opinions of others. I feel that it is also important to note that we only follow others (even those we usually agree with) as they follow Christ and His teachings. We prayerfully prepare for every service, seeking God’s will for His people. Our sincere desire is to have “a word in due season” that would minister grace and life to those who hear it. The number one job of a pastor, as seen throughout the Bible, is to “feed the flock of God” the Word of God. This is our highest priority.
.
We Will Live a Life of Integrity
1 Timothy 4:12
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
Secondly, we are committed to living a life of integrity publicly and privately. Melissa and I do not take lightly the calling of God to be pastors. Like Daniel in the Old Testament, we have purposed in our hearts to live a life that honors God. Prior to ever being involved in the ministry, we made decisions together to live a pure life, separated unto God and to His will. We are committed now more than ever to living a life of integrity and purity. We have resolved to be examples of Christ to others in our marriage, in our character and in our conduct.
