Oswego Family Church header image

Oswego, Illinois is located in the greater Aurora area, approximately 40 miles west of Chicago, along the Fox River.  The Village of Oswego is a part of Kendall County, which continues to be one of the fastest growing counties in the United States as it has been over the past decade.

The name Oswego is a Native American word which means a “place of outpouring” and it was used to describe the mouth of a river.  The name is certainly fitting for our village located along the Fox River.

In a spiritual sense, we believe that Oswego Family Church is a place of “spiritual outpouring” where individuals and families will come to be encouraged, refreshed and strengthened by the power of God!

Acts 2:17

In the Last Days,” God says, “I will pour out my Spirit on every kind of people: Your sons will prophesy, also your daughters; Your young men will see visions, your old men dream dreams. When the time comes, I’ll pour out my Spirit On those who serve me, men and women both, and they’ll prophesy.”

2 Corinthians 3:17

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).”

Acts 3:19b

That times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord”
